Here are some books I recommend. You can find them many places online, but I encourage you to buy them from local and independently-owned bookstores whenever possible. Most of the links below take you to the University Bookstore, a locally owned store that offers free shipping.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Daring Greatly by Brené Brown

Brené Brown explores vulnerability as a strength, instead of a weakness, one which leads us to greater connection. I like how the author discusses aligning self-worth with one’s values.

Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh

Thoughtful instruction and reflection on the practice of mindfulness to bring more peace and fulfillment to one’s daily life. I like how the author, a Zen teacher, discusses the relationship between walking and one’s breath.
